… And You Don’t Stop!
12 Feb 2011
Sara and I have had a big day. Separately. And then together. We thought we’d share with you a few of the things we’ve done.
Morning
I worked a full day. 9(ish) to 5(really 6)ish. I gave a few books to a few kids.
Sara started baking at 8am.
Midday
I ran Grassroots Gourmet errands at lunch, we needed tools. Bed, Bath & Beyond is heaven.
Sara did deliveries in the afternoon before going to our other heaven, Restaurant Depot. We needed supplies.
Afternoon
Sara started baking again at 3pm.
I went home and packed for the week. I feel much better when I stay in close proximity to the oven, the mixer and the pounds and pounds of chocolate.
Evening
Together we went back to the kitchen… Sara started baking for a third time at 8pm, I made dinner. Sara had dibs on the oven, I used the stove. Whoopie Pies were baked. Dishes done.
Nighttime
After dinner (and cupcakes and buttercream do not count as dinner), we turned our full attention to our treats. Crafting Cake Noms, assembling Whoopie Pies, crafting Cake Noms, preparing cookie dough, crafting Cake Noms, washing dishes… crafting Cake Noms.
As you know, we are on a tight schedule and, so far, we’re doing a great job of sticking to it (and by “we”, I mean bakemaster Sara). Unfortunately that means that we had to turn down an order tonight. We would love to throw a few cookies in the mix(er) but the schedule is set, cookies aren’t on tonight’s agenda and we just don’t have the time. We know what needs to be in the oven, and when, until Tuesday night (so much for a “weekend”. Call us next week for Happy Hour…) However, we do have a few extras and we have no desires to keep them for ourselves (there will be more extras tomorrow, I’m sure). First dibs on extras go to the lovely person who -tried to- place an order tonight. But keep your eyes and ears on Twitter for notification of future extras.
We realize that it’s already tomorrow, but our work for today still isn’t done. For those of you who are anxiously awaiting deliveries over the next few days, I have the inside track that they are looking GOOD.
More tomorrow. After all, Can’t stop, Won’t stop…..
